Michigan

Well, I have been knitting a lot in the last couple of days, but I have no pictures to show for it. Chalk it up to having photo burn out. Alex and I went with his family to Michigan this weekend we took what can only be described as a shit-ton of pictures.

I will only show you five. :)

Alex and I drove up to the Ludington/Hamlin Lake area on Thursday night. We stayed in a cabin at the Hobby Crest Resort.
It was a nice cabin (three bedrooms, two baths, no tv or anything to connect you to the internet). It was right on Hamlin Lake, which was perfect for hanging out on Alex's parent's boat.

We drove into Ludington and ate at the Old Hamlin Inn, which is somewhere Alex's family would always eat at when they would vacation in Ludington in the 80's.We walked around Ludington State Park for awhile, and had a nice view of some sand dunes as well as 'the other side' of Lake Michigan:After a day of exploring a lighthouse and the state park and stuff, the next day, Alex and I (severely sun-burned and all) went swimming and climbed up a little sand dune:(Yes, I am really that sunburned).

Then, we sat around a campfire, roasted some S'mores, and enjoyed the view.It was an excellent little vacation.

In knitting news, I signed up for to knit some socks for the Sock Museum for the Sock Summit. I finished them in the car ride home today (I knit the Garter Rib pattern from Sensational Knitted Socks). I just have the two to close on sock number two (I had no knitting accessories with me, only needles and sock yarn) and they will be ready to go. I will be taking pictures of them tomorrow.

I also have been working on my Cotty socks for the STR knit-a-long on Ravelry. I am about 1/3 of the way done with sock number two on those. Maybe some pictures of those tomorrow as well.

Hope everyone had a nice relaxing weekend. I will be back tomorrow (probably) with a whole ton of sock pictures. Happy knitting!
