This blog started in October of 2006. I had been knitting for about two years and had my own personal blog that I was updating on a regular basis. It just seemed right to start blogging about knitting. In 2013 I started seriously crocheting, so you can read all about my crochet adventures here too!
When not knitting and crocheting (or blogging about knitting and crocheting), you can find me designing knitting patterns. My designs have been seen in magazines such as Knitscene, Love of Knitting and Knit Simple. I'm the author of the best-selling book, Sock-Yarn Shawls, and you can also find a bunch of my self-published patterns on Ravelry. In April 2014, after a decade of testing municipal wastewater (fun!) for a living, I retired my lab coat and safety glasses to work in my design business full-time.
Other things you can find me doing are messing around at my spinning wheel, reading or pinning crock pot recipes on Pinterest. I live in the far NW suburbs of Chicago with my husband, Alex. We've known each other more than half our lives, were mortal enemies in high school, and were married in October 2011.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope you enjoy your stay!
